Semifinals are over . Two of the teams , while have reached the finals, the other two sit sulking. It was amazing to see there were no twist or turns in this IPL T-20 as was being predicted throughout the tournament. The winners comfortably won their matches. While Yuvraj Singh was happily partying last night at blue frog , a famous watering hole in Mumbai , he already knew he was going to loose . It wasn't just worth missing the party. I guess Ms. Zinta must have been thoroughly disappointed. After all her hugging and blowing kisses didn't have their effect on the team. Was it the over confidence of defeating Rajasthan Royal. The team just crumbled leaving me satisfied. I was never a supporter of these show off teams , who spent more money in dancing and singing rather then improving facilities in the stadiums. These were also the teams involved in most controversies. What a shame.
It is also evident that Yuvraj Singh was more interested in showing off rather then playing the game. His liaisons in the past with models and struggling actresses proved his down fall in this semifinal. As most of the people will know he was spotted with some bimbo last night at 1.30 PM at Blue frog. While Captain Dhoni is not involved in controversies , it is going to be a great final between the coolest captains on the IPL. A ploethera of scheming and plotting captains .
Chances of Rajasthan Royals winning this tournament are much stronger solely for the reason , that they have got a days rest as against Dhoni's boys. They have got time to discuss their strategy for tomorrows game. It will be interesting to watch Warney bowl out the Super kings . My heartiest congratulations to the team owner of Rajasthan Royals , who not only bought a team that played together but also trusted and judged Shane warne for his game and not his personnel life or good looks.
Ms. Zinta eat your heart out and calculate the losses , not only you lost my respect but have failed as a buissness woman. Now you got to work harder on your movies. May be Ness Wadia will be forgiving you for all your antics on the field.
The big Indian Tamasha ends tomorrow and life will go back to normal from day after tomorrow, with people forgetting who won this cup. The IPL has been able to generate the kind of interest it wanted to. It will be interesting to see if they are able to replay their performance the next season. While some of the senior players will only be seen in the IPL in the coming years , new names shall rise. Only the team owners need to trust these new players before deciding to send them back home mid season. Warney has proved to the world “ Its not how you play the game , its about how you play as a team.” Great going Mate.

All hail the king of spin
Bow down to the king of spin. Shane Warne has proved once again why he is the best captain in town. As I write this another wicket has fallen. Score 77-8 . Do I have to say any more . Royals have won this semifinal. As a captain Warne has proved what a valuable player he is. I wonder if Yuvraj has still not understood what Warne is all about . While Ms. Zinta is enjoying this playboy , Warney demolishes the Delhi Daredevil. For the first time I am left speechless wondering what to write. Now I don't want my blogs to be short and sweet updating you on the scores ,that you already know, the question is what will be the margin be for the Royals.
It was amazing for Yuvraj to say , that Ms. Zinta took care of her players when she was the first one to send part of her team home. Wow , I am surprised if the comment was made in a sarcastic sense as it was much evident from Ms. Zinta's face who just smiled at this. So much is being said about this candy cricket. Hell the total turnover is nearly 0.5 % of the annual GDP of India. I am sure the tax sleuths are listening heartedly waiting to strike. It has also arisen the question of having a second series this year. Are the IPL organizers so confident about winning . Poor chaps are trying to kill some thing that after a month has finally able to win my respect. Low and behold 82-9 . thats it Delhi has lost the game. Will they even make hundred. What a disappointment for the great captain Sehwag( pun intended). The guy is more worried about loosing hair and a nagging wife. I am sure the crowds are going to burn his house down tonight , if the so called hysteria created by the IPL organizers is anything to go by.
Hasn't stones been pelted before on poor performance. It is good the match isn't happening in Delhi. Other wise a stone might have landed on this Baldy. I am sure by now a crowd of Gujjars might have gathered around his house. It is amazing captain Dhoni throwing tantrums while the team for the Asia cup was announced. The guy has made so much money in this league that he needs time to spend it. There ! Fifteen minutes and the game is over. Final score 87 all out. Royals cruise to the finals. I wonder if a game with the Mumbai Indians would have been better. Ms. Zinta sit up and watch, your team is against a one man destroyer Shane Warne and winning a game where the destroyer wasn't there means nothing. All hail the king , The king of the Spin

Warney's Trap
In this series of “Of Cricket and Controversies” , I would like to thank all the people involved in the IPL for providing me so many controversial matters to write about. The latest to join the band wagon is Shiv Sena who burned effigies of Ness Wadia and Ms. Zinta in Mohali today. In another news, cheer leaders who had faced racial discrimination by the hands of Wizcraft filed an official complaint with the police for fraud and racial abuse.
The Punjab police who are already on bad terms with the Mohali team, now , have got a chance to settle scores. Lets hope Ms. Zinta hadn't instructed the Wizcraft management regarding the cheer leaders otherwise she will be in deep trouble this time. The latest incident of smoking and drinking, it seems hasn't gone down well with the people as well. While most of the cricket lovers might get swayed away from the field , in the wake of the protests by the Shiv Sena, mounting losses have , it seems made Ms. Zinta loose her cool. She became extremely angry when the news hounds outnumbered her security guards and fired questions at her regarding her boyfriends misbehavior with the SSP Mohali. An official complaint has been lodged in this regards too.
While a news channel very happily calculated the earnings of King Khan , they conveniently missed out of Mr. Khans dues to the Cricket association of Bengal, the money spent on security and the taxes that King has to pay as entertainment tax. They also forgot to calculate the Income tax which comes to a whopping thirty three percent. According to them , the king made around eight crores as profit. Let me remind them that after paying only the taxes the king might be loosing in the tune of sixteen crores. Well the balance sheets are yet to be made. The media once again proves that they are no longer to be trusted to give accurate news. It is sad to see people in love with cricket arguing over trivial matters like who earned how much. As if the king is going to give them any profit or they are going to share the loss. Mr. Modi however is not a very happy man. A PIL has been filed against him in the supreme court regarding his involvement in a drug possession case in 2005. He was found carrying drugs in the USA.
So much for the chairman of the IPL. This may also prove to be a nail in the coffin of Mr. Modi's BCCI dream.
Talking of Shiv Sena , I was rather surprised to see them in Mohali. Probably they have their tentacles spread all over India . Its sad to see that at one hand Shiv Sena is trying to throw North Indians out of Maharashtra , north Indians as a part of Shiv Sena are protesting against cheerleaders on the ground. May be they have been sleeping till now and suddenly when the IPL is about to shut shop, woke up to demonstrate against the Mohali team owners. It is a known fact that Sikh religion does not permit smoking and the hula boo was more on Ness Wadia smoking rather then his acquisitions made on the SSP and Punjab police . I would really like to know what the law has to say about this. Mr. Wadia being a big shot may get away with it lightly ,but in any case will be facing the wrath of Punjab police. He can not stand guard at the stadium doors checking the crowd for carrying water bottles and other food items that can be termed as potential weapons by the IPL committee.
Speaking of Hug power, it seems that Ms. Zintas hug power has propelled the Mohali team in to winning this curtain raiser to the final. There was no stopping to Marsh and Yuvraj tonight , who got their much deserved hugs and kisses at the end of the game. Of course Shane warne wasn't playing and that made all the difference to Rajasthan Royals. Guess they have fallen in to the trap laid by the great Warne. Now when they appear in the finals , chances are that their confidence of beating RR will prove to be their down fall.
In another match today Mumbai Indians had a comfortable victory over Royal challengers which also marked the T-20 career for Rahul Dravid . Chances are dim that he would be playing the next season. Poor guy has faced enough and its only wise for him to say good bye now that his million dollar pay check is secured. I surely hope , he does not retire for he would get another two million for being thrown out of the team. Best of luck Dravid for next year.

My girl friend talks of eleven different men
IPL finally managed it. It managed two days without having a controversy brewing amidst it. Bravo people. However day three was different . While , the news channels didn't let you breath , what with every news channel flashing the Aarushi murder case, even the matches were drab. Today however was different. An edge of the seat game between my favorite team Rajasthan royals and Mumbai Indians left me wanting for more. I had almost lost hope for the royals to win ,but the young lads on the team pulled the game through .Of course Mumbai Indians had a lot of contribution in this win.
Speaking of controversies ( here I would like to thank all the IPL people for providing me with so much material to write about.), It was the turn of the Mohali team to contribute for my daily column. They didn't disappoint me. Thank you guys. This time , in the eye of the storm was Ness Wadia , part owner of the team. He accused the police force entrusted to the stadium for security for selling tickets in black. Of stealing liquor and team T-shirts. In another incident when a cop told Mr. Modi , that he wasn't allowed to smoke in the lounge area, he mishandled the cop. What a display of sportsmanship.
The police has launched a complaint with the BCCI regarding the incident, but what I fail to understand is why the police had to sell their services in the first place. The police who is charging Rs. 500 per cop per match seems bewildered by all the stars making there appearance in the small town of Mohali.
The police anywhere in India, does not hold a good reputation. With shoddy investigations and increasing crime rate , they have only faced the wrath of the public. With almost 1500 police men deputed for every match, it has become an ideal opportunity for the criminals to strike during the matches. Chances are if a study is conducted regarding crimes happening in a particular city where the matches are being held , maximum number of crimes would have occurred during the game play.
Mr Wadia ,very coolly made allegations. I wonder if the cops were busy selling tickets in black, why the hell were the stadiums half empty. There seems to be a great conspiracy behind this. The cops bought half the stadium with all the money they had charged protecting the grounds. In any case Mr. Wadia shouldn't feel bad , at least he got his money. Perhaps Mr. Wadia was keeping a watch on the cops swindling T-shirts , liquor and tickets , while madam Zinta got busy cheering and hugging the team. May be he just got jealous .All he got for spending an exhorbitant amount was a few hours in the stadia with his lady love who only talked about eleven different men.
Speaking of Liquor , we all know what appetite the people of Punjab have for it. A burly Sikh can easily finish a bottle on his own and still be in his senses to drive home. Mr. Wadia might have thought before serving liquor , that an average Punjabi guy would drink a peg or two . To his dismay , he must have found all the crates empty and the guest asking for more. As for the T-shirts , what good are t-shirts lying gathering dust. Every time somebody wears them , he is advertising his team for free .
The only reasons why all these allegations are being made to the best of my knowledge is, that the time has come to pay the dues. The losses have been calculated and all the team owners are looking for are excuses for not paying. Hidden costs that were not calculated at the beginning of the game ,have started to stare the team owners in their faces. While SRK runs to the entertainment minister of West Bengal for omission of entertainment tax on his matches, Mr. Wadia makes allegations. It would be nice to know if the Punjab police has even got a dime up till now. What Mr. Wadia or SRK doesn't know is that they are dealing with the government .The government is not going to let go of its money so easily. Not only will they have to pay all of it ,but would be harassed by the taxation department at a later stage.
In any case , I can only say “ Keep the controversies happening guys after all IPL is nothing but the whims and fancy of the rich and the famous.”

Dragging the bat
Are IPL matches becoming a drab. Simon says “ they are” . Well I have stopped watching the matches altogether. May be the dwindling crowds in the stadiums are also of the same view. While the last two games today were interesting to watch, I really didn't care who won . One team is already in the semi finals, the other just trying to prove a point. Does it matter any more. I don't really think , that even the hard core cricket fanatic will reach such a phase. Where he would stop caring for who won.
It may be because of the overdose that ,cricket has become. Each day there is a match. All of them looking the same. The initial excitement generated , when watching the first matches seem to have dwindled. What they look like are reruns of the same matches between the teams. Either the teams loose both the games or loose one game. With news channels running in overtime covering the famous Noida murder case , it seemed for the first time that I felt, that a lot was going on in the world. It definitely put me off news channels and more so cricket.
I was not a great supporter of any of the teams, except Rajasthan Royals but they were already in the finals a long time back. Didn't it happen to all the supporters . Those whose teams have reached the semi-finals have lost interest , those whose team have lost , have lost interest too. Discussing matches now has become an exercise. I mean which match are we talking about. Are we talking about the first match or the second. Who scored what , these are the questions which are not able to hold the interest of the most ardent fan. Here I mean , a fan who even bought a costly team shirt , that won't last him a season.
May be, its time for the IPL people to realize what is wrong with the IPL format. Even the team owners have started to realize , it isn't possible to attend every match. Lot of them left the stadium on some pretext or the other , when their teams started to loose. It only seems that the material world's other trivia have started to attract them more, then watching their looser of a team play.
While the matches have got little or no coverage during the last couple of days. What with the news channels either trying to prove or disapprove the police theory in the Aarushi murder case, little or nothing was said about cricket. I am sure Indian audience was more interested in knowing about the murder rather then who won a drab match.
SRK could only manage five minutes of the viewers time , when he went begging to the entertainment minister for relief in taxes. Dude , it would have been wiser if you had not put your hand in a place where it would get burnt so badly. I pity the great SRK.
Talking of SRK , the guy looks as if, he just came out of a movie set ,where he plays a fifty year old man. What all the make up couldn't do to him in all these years, thirty days of IPL has done to him. I wonder if he has commented on Ganguly's blinking , that pissed his captain so much. Ganguly definitely needs to buy a better set of contact lenses, if he prefers to wear one. May be he is waiting the king to pay him his dues ,so that he can go to the market and buy a pair of new contact lenses. Dude , ask Donna for some money if that is the case, because by the time you get your money ,you may go blind wearing faulty lenses.
Just to update you people on todays matches, While Dr. Malaya's team saved their skin today by defeating some chargers (some looser of a team), KKR defeated the much hugged team of Ms. Zinta. Poor guys must be missing getting hugged at the end of the game. Dr. Malaya ,of course is an angry man as his formula one team again met a crash on the tracks. I wonder why he has to choose losers. Winning go- karts on indian circuits does not equate to winning on the formula one circuit. Any ways very few of us fanatics are actually F-1 fans since Schumacher retired.

Short Message Servings
So King Khan is sulking. The losses have been mounting and news is that he won't be seeing the second season of the IPL. The latest is that he is planning to sell of the team. While he still hasn't paid the players , He owes the cricket association of Bengal 3.5 crores . SRK since the advent of IPL has aged ten years. While he had the confidence of a winner , when he featured in the KKR music video. He looked lost , tired and defeated when seen blowing a kiss to the Mumbai crowd. He was definitely booed down.
Tragedy is that the SMS , he sent to the players today before the match with Delhi Dare devils has been doing the rounds of all the news channels. His trust has been breached even here ,for the only way any news channel would have got the SMS, was through ,one of the players. I actually dont believe SRK would leak it for publicity, he already has enough. So somebody has a grouse against the great SRK. There is a traitor in the KKR team. The speculation ,why he wasn't present in the last match , has also been put to rest. “ I wont attend the classroom until I understand the rules of the head master.”A gesture I admire. It is better to conduct yourself with dignity rather then go on the field and asked to leave after fifteen minutes in the dug out. Speaking of which, I guess Ms. Zinta did not understand the concept of the red card for the team owners. She was seen throughout the match sitting in the dug out area. Its surprising that I thought, she could understand plain simple english.
It has also been brought to the media's notice that the cheerleaders were told to leave because of their color on the behest of the franchisee. Ms. Zinta forgets , she is a black to the rest of the world. No matter what her skin color may be. Its sad to see ,a woman who got a bravery award for speaking out her mind a few years back in a high profile case could stoop so low.Now promising to help the cheerleaders aint going to repair what damage is done. I am sure Wizcraft people dont care whether black or white dance as long as there is a performance on stage.
What is seen here , is a degradation of morals. The pressure is high . The most profitable team of the IPL is about to be sold because the owners dont find it to be a feasible project. What about the other teams who have been loosing throughout. Winning matches dont really equate to cash in the bank. In my previous article I had compared the IPL to the East India Company .I was wrong. East India Company made profits. IPL is nothing but a display of power and wealth. Where one team owner bends the rules to accommodate, a whim of his , and then does not even avail th facility, another proves that the obsession with white skin is not just a thing of our western counter parts.
When taxi drivers are beaten up in Australia, we call it racism. When black cheerleaders are told to leave the stage, we call it management decision. So much for double standards. The country has started to split on the lines of loyalty and its not a question about whether the franchisee are making money or not. Mumbaikars booed the Mohali team captain on the field and he complaint furiously in the press meet. Some body threw a stone at Sehwag in his home ground. Are we not a nation, then why cant we just take the game in the right spirit . Why has it become a war and being promoted as war. I have always thought that cricket was a game of friendship. A gentleman's game and now it has turned in to a mockery.
With price caps being removed from the players salary next year , there is going to be a blood bath in the auction and on the field. While all the profit avenues being exploited this season, I wonder with no price caps, will the IPL be conducted throughout the year just to cover up the investments. While I write this another match seems to be washed out , between Daredevils and KKR . So much for the motivational message of SRK. On second thoughts could this message be leaked out by the team management to clear the air about a lot of issues that have haunted the KKR team. I am sure the team players would have known about whether there was a rift between the King , the cardinal and the general . Think about it.

IPL or East India Company
We all are honorable men who love their cricket. IPL has provided us with a reason to carry forward this honor and love for the region ,that we live in. While Delhi rejoices an injury of Sachin Tendulkar , People are ecstatic when Saurav Ganguly looses a match. IPL has brought us in to a new kind of era, that our fore fathers fought for two hundred years. We are again being divided on the lines of Race, Region and Community and the biggest of evils “Money”. While every day a new controversy engulfs the league and I enjoy taking a dig on those , IPL has brought forward serious issues . Issues that can not be taken up lightly.
On 19 th May ,two of the Mohali team cheerleaders were told to get out of the stadium by the management agency , that had hired them. No reasons were given but it was understood that it was on the behest of their skin color. Both of them being black. Its ironic that the man whom we all know as the father of the nation and still better from the Munna bhai Series started the freedom struggle by fighting against , oppression of the black community on basis of their color. Not very long ago the whole nation had stood against a nobody called Jake Goody and the indian government had even extended an invitation to her to visit the country. We are such a nation.
What happened at IPL is disgusting. It shows the double standards , we as Indians have. Now I don't say that everybody is bad ,but then ,why nobody is coming forward now, to punish or even investigate the whole issue. People turn a blind eye towards ugliness , we Indians are no different. When traveling in a bus , we prefer to travel, standing rather then sit next to a handicap or a beggar. Are they not fellow human beings. No they are not contagious , we won't become handicap or loose all our money by sitting next to them.
In !857 after the Sepoy mutiny East India Company left India. In 2008 exactly 150 years , they have returned in the garb of IPL. The social evils that we had long forgotten, are being recycled in the name of entertainment, and while the ordinary people lap it it up, Franchisees and IPL organizers laugh their way to the bank. In the name of team promotions millions are being spent ,when the same money, could have been used to improve stadium facilities. Provide training facilities to the local players. Provide at least drinking water in the stands.
The promises made at the beginning were large , just like the promises of our leaders before the election, How many have been fulfilled is yet to be seen. It was said that IPL is going to promote local cricket. All the local players have done is to carry water, sit on benches and when not required shipped out of the hotel to accommodate franchisee owner's friends. What humiliation. A racism of a different kind , a cost paid for never being a key player in India “A” squad.
Long ago the British decided on the policy of divide and rule. Let everybody fight for their own petty issues . IPL in some sense has followed the same. Divide and loot. While people are being divided by the teams they support , forgetting all the discomfort in the win , they are also being divided by the kind of ticket they hold. While SRK ,owner of the KKR smokes freely in the stadium, a common fan is not even allowed to carry a bottle of drinking water, and yet, he is drawn to the stadium for entertainment being provided in the form of Slapping and scantily clad women gyrating seductively to music they don't understand. When somebody raises the issue he is shunned as a hypocrite and a specimen from the eighteenth century. The government just like the rulers in the past have turned a blind eye to this invasion. By the time anybody realizes the damage done to the psyche of the nation, it will be too late. Fights in the west have cost lives of thousands of supporters , who fought battles in the stands ,when their favorite club looses .They all belong to the same nation. Is it right to divide the nation once again while with great difficulty people have lately understood, how irrelevant it is to fight in name of religion and yet sparse incidents of communal violence are seen every now and then. It will be most unfortunate to see supporters of one team fighting those of the other teams in the stands when this hypnotism will complete.
Almost 5000 crores have exchanged hands since the event began, and Income Tax department wants an explanation. It is just an rough estimate. How much of this money has actually been spent on developing infrastructure for the game ,with no price caps on players from next year onwards, Dhoni might just become the richest player in the world , but where do the franchisee get this money back from. We will pay them. After all they are spending so much money to keep us divided as a nation. Its there right to treat us as slaves ,because us Indians can not sit next to a beggar or handicap but can stand next to them outside a window shop and cheer for the team, we support.

Cry babies
I am ecstatic. KKR is finally out . Beaten on their own turf. It was a comfortable win for the Royals . The match showed lot of character on the part of the Rajasthan royals. While they were at 69-4 and th match seemed to go towards KKR . Kaif changed it all . They did it comfortably with three overs to spare.
Mr. Khan was missing in action today. I guess in prefer to sulk alone , rather than in front of the cameras. It was a wise decision because what ever he might say , he knew in the back of his mind, his team had no chance against the Royals. I guess his absence had de-motivated the team, after all he is the twelfth man for his team according to Mr. Ganguly. So much for the KKR team. Shane warne has proved his point and boy, has he not done it in style. Now KKR has to bank on two of the other teams to loose their matches. What a shame. A place piggy backed on other teams. Saurav sounded disappointed and didn't have much to say.
What I admire about the Kolkata crowd is that support a good team. People clapped when Gul was sent to the boundary. Shane gave the formula for his success if anybody was listening “ We treat everybody the same.” Was Ganguly and his team management listening. I wonder. May be one of the players that KKR sent home might have helped out.
While It was on the news that the tickets for this particular match were totally sold out, attendance in the stands proved otherwise with almost half the stadium empty. Boy, what a heart burn for Mr. Khan.
In another news black cheer leaders were asked to leave and I am yet to get more information on that so will update on that later. Guess I am going to party tonight to celebrate the victory of team who was an under dog at the beginning and has emerged as a top dog. It also means that I wont be able to entertain myself anymore writing about a great team in gold and black Kolkata knight Riders. Guess Ganguly hates the guys more then he hates loosing. Good bye KKR , see you next year.

An offer you cant refuse
So another match gone, another day passed and Delhi Dare devils are a little closer to the semi finals. Royal challengers once again lost the match and even after they tried real hard to stay in the game they had little hope against Sehwag's terrific knock. It was also the first game in the league that actually was a paisa vasool game.
Rahul Dravid who tried really hard but his bowlers were knocked all over the field. He however gave the key to defeating Delhi . “ Get the top order out early.” He is right if any team is able to get Sehwag and Gambhir out early , it means that the team might get out on a poor score. I am sure the other teams must have figured that out by now.
In another news Mr. Khan got permission to sit with his team. Mr. Modi issued a brand new pass for him and all the other team owners. It is now to be seen , that the passes are complied with. I am sure that Mr. Khan will soon be batting or fielding on the field. Although I have said much about this in my previous blog “Cricket and controversies-5” and won't repeat my self ,it is proven once again that IPL is an organization without a back bone which is only interested in making money. While team manager of KKR makes a statement that the team owners are not bound by the rules of the IPL , I wonder whom do these rules actually are made for. Will somebody please tell me if they are allowed to carry cell phones while visiting the players. This leniency now puts a question mark on the whole betting issue. Why is Mr. Khan so adamant on sitting with the players. I am sure he can get the best seats in the house. Any ways his being there is not proving anything . KKR managed to score the lowest with him in the dugout area all the time. I wonder what moral got boosted while he sat there and watched his team being thrashed by Mumbai Indians.
Yesterday he was seen sitting with the opposition in the dug out area. In a cricket sensitive nation it is no wonder, that anybody can deduce ,what Mr. Khan was doing there. Begging Captain Dhoni to be a bit easy on his players or “making an offer that Dhoni camp can't refuse”. His frustration is now clearly visible. While lights keep going out in the KKR stadium whenever the opposition is playing well, a conspiracy to make the KKR team can be made. There may be nothing behind it but then a lot of big names may be involved. Get the other team psyched by reducing the light. Either the game will stop or they will get out . Either way KKR wins. What with inquiries set up after the first match ,have not yielded any results.
While Shoib Akhtar fitness is once again in question , it will be nice to see KKR loose once again tomorrow on their home turf. Maybe Mr. Khan should do what he does best. Concentrate on his movies. One thing is for sure he ain't getting any money from me anymore. Speaking of Shoib Akhtar , is it something to do with the dope test that Mr. Modi spoke off. Now , I shouldn't be so mean to KKR but in a gentleman's game anything out of order arouses suspicion, so tell me if I am wrong.

I am king
A few Centuries ago there was a ruler , who had set out to conquer the world. He died at the age of thirty two. A great ruler his empire fell soon after his death. He died cold , sad and far away from his home. He thought he was God. He was Alexander the great.
In this century there is a new ruler who has ruled the hearts and minds of every indian. Every movie of his is a super hit . He does what he wants . People stay with out water or food in cramped up conditions . His team is the one of the most profitable teams in the IPL ( We have to wait for the balance sheet for that . ) He is none other then SRK. A brand name that is also a marketing phenomenon. In an era when battles are fought in the Corporate battle grounds , he has emerged as one of the biggest gladiators in the field. People cheer his every move and he commands the most lucrative of endorsements.
“I am passionate about the game and any ICC,CBI or XYZ cannot keep me away from the team.” He said in a press conference to show his disappointment when an anti corruption officer of the BCCI reminded him of the rule book, which clearly states that nobody is allowed in the Dug out area or players dressing room. It reaked of nothing but arrogance and beginning of a fall. He mentioned he was not aware of the rule. This proves that Mr. Khan is not even as smart as a fifth grader. With the hype that the IPL has generated ,every serious fan might know every rule in the book. Is it ignorance or plain arrogance shown towards the game.
IPL who has been under scanner for many reasons that it would like to forget, has found itself embroiled in another controversy. Should it allow passionate team owners in the dug out area. It was seen as a step to ward of corruption, that arose from match fixing allegations. Now the King is angry, and IPL may not want to face the wrath of the king. An organization without a spine, IPL will have to amend the rules for “the King”. The only problem is it will have to amend it ,for all the team owners, and, although “the king” may not be corrupt, some of the other loosing teams may take this opportunity to make hay while the sun shines.
These may be the corporates who have lost a lot of money due to a variety of reasons ,be it poor team performances or selection of a test team for a twenty twenty format. It can also mean a nobody of cricket coming down on the field and firing a senior player for not performing on the field. What a shame.
Coming back to the question “Has SRK become God ?” or “Does he think he is God?”. The arrogance with which he challenged the BCCI to stop him from being with the players is commendable. He has come to think that people in Kolkata flock the stadium to see him . Mr . Khan , sorry to disappoint you , People are there to watch a good game and not you jumping around ,in the field.
BCCI should once put its foot down on this. Today team owners are trying to hold IPL to ransom and chances are that tomorrow Mr. Khan might just say “I am a part of the team and I want to Bat, the crowd enjoys it and there should be no problem with that.” Will BCCI allow that because the King wants it. The worst case scenario may be that a team owner's son might want to play a match and since they own the team , it will be deemed as their right to play along with their teams.
I am a great fan of Grand theft Auto and am passionate about racing, does that give me a right to steal cars and cause havoc on the roads. Rules are meant to be followed and not broken , just because you are passionate about something. When you are a man of stature , you should behave like one. Trying to act like a kid just because you are passionate about something does not mean, you should be allowed to do what you want to do.
Now that BCCI and IPL have allowed Mr. Khan to go in to the dug out area for fifteen minutes , it will be interesting to see ,Mr. Khan go on the field to Bat ,because I am sure he is going to do that next. He is a passionate man and leaders lead from the front , so he might just to show Saurav Ganguly how the game is played, get in to gear and walk on to the field.
What are little rules? They can be changed by a little persuasion. In another development, team Kolkata has offered four crores to the New Zealand cricket board for Macullum. My advice to them is , take the money in full beforehand ,otherwise you will be left with nothing. Ask Cricket Australia for advice. It is person who has gone through a situation , that can advice you best on these matters.

Khan't Pay
It finally seems that Mr. Khan's luck has run out on him. With poor TRP ratings of his new quiz show and equally dismal performance on the field by his team, it seems that Mr. Khan has no where to hide. Even the Gods seem to be angry at Mr.Khan. Today's match was washed out and decided according to duckworth louis rule, Chennai winning by three runs. This is the second match in the league to be decided by the same and with north westerly winds coming even stronger , it is for sure , that one can expect more matches to be decided by this rule.
As I had mentioned in my blog earlier “ Cricket and controversies-2” about the fired players not receiving any remuneration , it seems the players on the team are facing the same problem. According to rules of the IPL all the international players were to be payed on a weekly basis, but none of the international players have received a dime.
Australian players have lodged a complaint with the Cricket Australia and the australian board is planning to pull Mr. Khan to court if the dues are not cleared. If the international players are bieng treated this way then it is for sure that the players who got fired a couple of days back from KKR can forget about any money. It will be wonder if Mr. Khan's team management doesnt charge them for the hotel accomodation in which they were put up while they were on the team.
Flood lights in Kolkata also have become a part of controversy. Today a number of floodlights went off just before the dust storm. The match would have anyways been stopped even if the dust storm wasn't there. It is easy to blame it on the storm ,now that the storm was there, but the slimmest chances of winning were lost with the drop catch of Patel. Hard luck.Who ever is behind the floodlight scam must be feeling real stupid now.
I wonder if the people get a refund for the money in these kinds of situations. When lights go off in a Cinema hall and there is no generator backup, I think people get a refund for their money. What has surprised me is that on one hand Mr. Khan ordered 17000 helmets for the fans of KKR. His logic was when the players see so many fans in KKR helmets they are bound to get motivated. Did he forget that motivation of any kind comes from money and he hasn't paid his key players yet. It can be understood that Mr. Ganguly can be paid at the end of the day as he considers his KKR team to be his family, but I think Mr. Ganguly's foreign counterparts who are actually real professional players and not somebodies family members would be happier if they were paid.
The reprecursions of all this are going to be seen in the next season, when foreign players will either boycott the IPL or will demand to be paid in full even before the tournament kicks off. If the team management wants that , they are most welcome. It has also been found out that the players contracts haven't been given to the players which makes this whole IPL a big “lala” company. I wonder if Mr. Khan even knows about all these discrepencies going on in his team. I have always believed him to be a great person and motivator but now it suddenly seems that all the gifts that he has been showering on the team are peanuts given to monkeys ,while the bananas are kept safely.
Why the players havent been payed, has however ,got a logical reason. The money that is to be paid runs in to millions of Rs. The longer it stays in the bank of any team management ,the more interest it generates thus bringing the average cost of the players down. Also at the end of the series players can be bargained with on lieu of poor performances shown during the match. A player will have to accept what ever he is given at that time.
Some where the turn of events are pointing the needle to the fact that IPL is not going to see another season, and it has already been decided. It can be only understood that if all the eight team management decide they dont want to continue with a money loosing venture , who is going to conduct the IPL.
My advice to you is , enjoy the matches while you can. Hope there are no dust storms and Matches don't end in five overs flat. Gentlemen give us time to finish atleast one beer per innings.

Pass me a spiff , i got to play
Another amazing day at the Indian Paisa League. Mumbai Indians beat KKR once again. Indians are on a roll and what Shoib Akhtar did to Daredevils, Pollock was doing the same to the KKR team. Today the lowest score at the IPL was made. Mr. Khan's team entered wirth a bang and today it ended it with a bang. The whole team was out for a measly 67 runs. A target that was easily achieved by the Indians in 5.3 overs, courtesy Sanath Jaysuriya. Tendulkar however could not perform once again but his sin were washed away by his teams win.
It is amazing that Mr. Khan was so sure of his teams entry in to the final of the IPL tournament that he ordered 17000 replica helmets for the finals of the IPL . The only problem is with todays performance, it is only a remote chance that KKR will actually manage to get to the finals.
I can suggest one good use for the helmets. Donate them to the Kolkata police. Atleast they can provide a free helmet everytime they catch somebody without one. The news that mentioned the order also mentioned that Mr. Khan is not a penny pincher and I think it was said in the wake of the latest firing of five of his members of KKR squad.
While Saurav Ganguly seemed frustated on the field blinking his eyes, Sharukh joined team KKR on the fields in the second half sitting on the back bench. If I remember correctly , no team owner could sit with the team while the match was in progress. It was said that this was done to make sure no controversies arose, regarding aligations of betting. The players were not supposed to carry mobile phones etc. I wonder if anybody noticed this voilation that took place on the field.
As I write this Mr.Modi has made a new announcement of conducting a doping test in the IPL. So till now one was free to take steroids and play at the IPL. No wonder that a few ballers are bieng able to ball so fast. While there is news of finding syringes on Shoib Akhtar, Mr. Modi has denied it. We all know Mr modi is a great friend of Mr. Khan and what are little syringes in friendship. The test is going to be conducted in a couple of days . Very correct ,give enough time to the players to get the drugs out of their system. We all are respectable gentlemen playing a gentlemen's game . Aren't we?
My question is if there was information of finding syringes in possession of Shoib Akhtar then in that case wouldn't it have been more prudent to coduct the test right after the match.this would have proved innocence or guilt there and then. Why wait for a couple of days. This also indicates that not all is well at the IPL. I wonder if the olympic committee would tell the athletes a couple of days in advance before they conduct doping test. While a pakistani daily has published the news of finding three dozen syringes by the airport authorities, and PCB not confirming the news. It is important that if Shoib Akhtar is suffering from diabities he should go home.
It is also questionable that why the IPL committee has suddenly decided to conduct the dope test after organising 38 matches. Is it, that nobody thought before hand about this kind of actions on the parts of the players. Comon people , a lot is involved in this game of IPL and what are little drugs to improve performances. No wonder most of them have been looking doped and all this time I thought , it was the free booze that was making them behave like Zombies on the field.
Question remains whether IPL is going to support one player or to avoid controversy would ask Mr. Akhtar to go back to Pakistan. It is yet to be seen. However the Rawalpindi express is on its was to derailment.

Bump in the Head
So Delhi Daredevils finally won the game against the Deccan chargers who I feel is the coolest team on the block. Even if the team management is after their lives , its not showing or the franchisee has resigned the team to its fate. Whatever the case maybe, it took a stone to make Mr. Sehwag realize that he needs to win the game. It was only then he took initiative and worked towards winning the match. With poor performance and no captain like skills ,it is surprising he handed the ball to a novice and gave him no advice. I wonder what would have happened if the baller had failed to perform in the last over. Lucky for him he got the hat trick and Man of the match award.
The stone thrown at Sehwag depicted a lot today. For starters ,it meant that the people are fed up of watching players under perform on the field. Secondly there was no water bottle to throw at this balding oldie ,it being confiscated by the security at the gates. What I wonder is how people are able to manage without drinking water in the stadiums. With summers at its peak and tap water stinking of diseases ,it is so wonderful to see 30000 enthusiastic souls watching something that could have been seen from the comfort of their homes. Now my critics will call me a lunatic . Point taken. I can never understand the euphoria of watching something live happening in front of me even if all I do is try to watch the giant screen in the stadium while I lick my parched lips to quench my thirst.
In the wake of the Jaipur blasts things in the coming days are going to get worse in the name of security. I wonder how many of us would actually be willing to go and watch a match live. It seems that Mr . Modi has made up his mind not to change the venue for the Jaipur matches but the fear shown by the Australian players depicts what a dampener Saturday match in the Jaipur stadium is going to be. A list of articles that is not to be carried in to the stadium is also being issued which includes no water bottles. I would say it was easier to get into the United states after 9/11 then it would be to get in to a stadium to watch some looser play another looser. What I wonder is if no water can be carried ,who is going to provide drinking water in the stadium. What about those small kids who want to watch the match? What about the families? It is strange that a select few are served booze in the stadium while the masses are being denied even drinking water. I think a Satya grah is in order to free the common man from this oppression by the IPL.
Since no entertainment is going to be provided in the stadium in the wake of the blasts , it is going to be a real test for all the so called cricket enthusiasts who are flocking the stadiums to watch skimpily clad cheerleaders. While Mr. Warne may jump at every sound that may sound like a blast, it will be a nightmare to just get in to the stadium. While most of the TV channels showed people wanting to watch the match , I wonder how many of them have actually booked themselves a place for the Saturday match. Either they are really brave or just plain foolish. I would also love to know what they think of the comment made by one of the players “ I got a wife and three kids at home and they are less then impressed with the part of the world I am in right now.” I would say dude pack your bags and run home. While these players asses the security for the upcoming matches, Franchisees would be left wondering why nobody is willing to buy the tickets even at one tenth the price.
Is their a method to this madness. Does it end anywhere. Is there something amiss here. Security is important and I understand drinking water bottle is a potential hazard for the under performing Delhi captain but I wonder if someone would like to part with the little precious water that he carrying for a period of three hours to quench his thirst from all the shouting. It seems that the viewer is unwanted now and somebody somewhere believes that people who are going to the stadiums are slaves who have to follow the eleventh commandment “ Watch the matches live or thou shalt suffer in hell.”
It might be possible that the stone wasn't thrown at Sehwag for not performing in todays match . He might just be standing there and drinking water and somebody who was really thirsty got so pissed that he actually made it a point to make him realize that he was there to entertain not to piss these people off. TV channels may put the whole incident in any light they want and Sehwag may be disappointed with the Delhi crowds. The stadium authorities might have defended themselves by putting the entire responsibility for security on GMR the team owners. In the wake of todays incident ,it is only going to become more idiotic to go and watch the matches live until one really wants to go through living hell on earth.
While a pan wallah in Delhi desperately tries to solicit me trying to sell his tickets, I wonder why he got them in the first place. “ No thanks.” I say . “ 1000 Rs tickets , I got them for 500 , will give for two hundred each.”He says. Dude go watch it yourself and don't carry water bottle or you might get arrested under suspicion of being a terrorist.

Cricket A doomsday Conspiracy
So the Delhi trip was kind of satisfying . While I applied for my Visa the only thing I missed was writing about the much hyped IPL. It just happened that I was passing through the vicinity of Feroze Shah Kotla stadium and with the flood lights on , I who has been ripping apart the IPL in the name of Indian Paisa league was tempted to go inside and watch the proceedings.
I wonder how it feels to watch a match in a stadium. Since I am extremely lazy by my own admittance and detest any form of physical activity which involves movement for the sake of fun , I know that I wont ever go to a stadium to watch a match even if it were between the arch rivals India and Pakistan and the tickets were by invitation.
I have never really watched a complete match from ball one to ball culmination and since I am never interested in watching a batsman score a hundred ,it is fraudulent for me to write anything about the game so I have always kind of stuck to highlighting the controversies involved in the game. As they say “To each his own.” My blogs on cricket do not have a great audience and since all the TV channels are stuck with the latest fad of only talking about the controversies , I thought of doing it myself, not because I couldn't see it ,but no one was talking what I wanted to hear. It seemed people were afraid of saying it .I on the other hand who is a nobody and like to think on the conspiracy theories love to write about it.
It also has proven to be a vent to the pent up feeling regarding the tide that has swept the world of cricket. While hockey suffers cricketers are paid insane amounts in a duplication of a game trying so hard to copy the excitement of a football game. If cricket ,which once was a character building game has turned in to a mockery ,it is us to blame ,who wish to enjoy the game but do not want to really waste a day watching the game. The answer is reduced hours, faster game and cheerleaders to provide raunchy entertainment.
India a country of diverse elements has finally succumbed to the foreign invasion once again. If things were to be this way it is sad that so many people actually tried and succeeded in attaining freedom to the country. Indians would have been much happier working in British Call centers and spending pounds instead of rupee which is almost 1/80 of the British pound.
It is true that the country would be more stable if it was still under the British empire, at least the youth of the country would be much happier. The domination of foreign brands is only an indication of times to come. What is sad is the fact that the youth of India is no longer interested in the glorious past that this country has but is moving on the path of self destruction. The multi billion Dollar fast food industry that once crippled an entire generation in the USA is now targeting the Indian market and no wonder is going to succeed. Most of the fast food contains MSG or mono sodium Glutamate which not only is addictive but is a major cause of cancer . While the US government keeps on blaming the indian lifestyle for the increase in the food prices, I wonder why their fast food giants are so anxious to invade the indian market. The reason is money .
When we were kids our only encounter with the burger was at the local restaurant which used to be a big greasy affair. Chances were that you would not relish the product and wont order it again. Now with Burger chains who claim to provide with low fat burgers and healthy burgers ( burgers with a leaf in them), people are being conned in to eating that remains as unhealthy as it always was . The names change and so do appearances.
Whats surprising is that how easy it is to attract customers in India . Create a brand name. Convert it in to a status symbol . Get people addicted to it . Reduce prices once investments have been recovered and watch the crowds walk in through the doors wanting more. One would say that its good business sense but what about the social responsibility that any corporation has towards its customers.
IPL is just a symbolic representation of the deteriorating times that have slowly but surely been leading the world to disaster. With twelve thousand people dead in China just before the Olympics , nothing changes . Money will still be spent on making a stadium rather then providing shelter to the homeless. Times are changing and when people run to God for shelter on doomsday and ask him why he did it , I am sure Gods reply will be “ Its not me , its you who have brought this day upon you. Remember when you were cutting the rain forests and destroying the fragile ecosystem all in the name of progress. All that you needed was food , shelter and water to live a healthy ,fulfilling life.”
What would be interesting will be to find that heaven would already be full of species that man so carelessly killed for his own selfish interests and the only place for him will be in hell where he shall suffer for eternity as there will be no place left for him to rebirth.
I say we will all achieve Nirvana this way . Freedom from the bondage of life and Death. Destroy earth and thats it. What say gentlemen . Cricket doesn't need you anymore.

Old bottle new wine
While Indian Paisa league is entering a crucial stage with most of the teams struggling to stay in the competition, Controversies dont seem to be leaving the stadium so fast. With KKR fined for the third time in the row for not sticking to the schedule timing, It seems the team owner found a new way to save cost. Send five of the players home. The explanation given “ We want to concentrate on the core team as of now since the competition is entering in to a crucial stage.”
Nicely put Mr. Khan since Mr.Ganguly is in no mood to change his ways and money is just a simple mean to pay for all the follies that occur on the field. I wonder what Mr. Khan would do in case his team was slapped with a fine of bowling two overs more or the runs scored in the last two overs of his team deducted from the total score making the target much more achievable for the Daredevils.
It has not happened for the first time that team management have sent the non playing squads home with or without the cash incentives. Although most of the teams including KKR have promised to pay the non player in full ,It seems their promises are going to end with the IPL.
IPL started with the hope of discovering new talent on the field giving the younger players an opportunity to play with the international players. In the beginning everything seemed hunky dory. Player appreciating advice from the senior players but when the franchises started to realize that they were not going to secure their investments ,Cost cutting started to come in to play. The best way was to send the liabilities home.
It is strange that a dream of playing with the big league for most of the players ended in mid season. The tragedy is they cannot show their disappointment for the fear of getting banned from first class cricket for ever. While Shoib Akhtar faces the wrath back home trying to prove he still has got the game in his veins, it is sad to see that such a fine player can be gone for ever after this IPL.
If a player of his status can be reprimanded for the words he spoke, it is understood what will happen to these small time players who are trying to make it big on the indian Premier league.
While the franchises struggle to put together the best possible team ,it is these players who face the brunt. While they are shunted out of the accommodations and sit on the bench while the core team practices. Since most of the core teams comprise of retired players or players about to retire ,it is sad to see these old horses getting payed ten or fifteen times more then these youngsters who's job it seems is to fetch drinking water for team and get locker room ready for the knight to return. It wont be strange to find a young player cleaning the toilets soon since the team management would definitely try to save costs of hiring a janitor in the name of cost cutting. The reason given “ Players can learn a lot from their seniors loo habit.
In one of the other camps of RCB ,one of the most respected players of India aka Rahul Dravid is being treated like a nobody . Rahul who was considered to be “ Mr. Wall and Mr. Dependable” is being charged of being partial to his friends like Sunil Joshi who was bought for 30000 USD. I say that all his decisions were wrong while selecting the team then why blame him for just one of the players. Its not like he is not being blamed for the rest of the team. It is nice to see that Mr. Rahul will finally realize that cricket is no longer the gentleman's game it used to be and it was high time he also learned from his team owner who is trying so desperately to make him quit. I say man dont leave the team and rather get fired . At least you will get thrice the amount what you are getting for one season.
These are crucial times and while most of the team players have faced hardships doing justice to their fat pay cheques .Question is whether all of it is worth it. Most of the players really dont need to take shit from nobodies of cricket. Has money become so important for them that they are willing to let go of their self esteems. What I have realized is that everybody had a selfish motive involved in this game. While players suffer , Pitch curators struggle and Franchises count their loses ,the only winner seems to be the audience who is sitting at home watching the matches from every possible angle in the comforts of air conditioning and beer. Who wants to pay 6500 Rs for it when you can get it for free. As for the Plasma screens ,you can buy one for the cost of taking four persons to watch the match in Shitty conditions with no drinking water, walking a mile just to reach the stadium and being hassled by Cops who are more interested in taking away your binoculars and Cameras as if these were a security threat to the Franchises monetary gains.

Royally F**Ked
So the Royal challengers got the boot in their backs sooner then i expected . With Dr. Mallaya coming out in the open to Criticise his team Captian it was no wonder that team Dravid was going to loose . Dr. Mallayas assesment about his team captain was right because his captain thought that a total of 143 was a defendable score .I think its time for Rahul to wake up and see the light of the day.Wearing goggles in floodlights has done enough harm to his retinas so that, he can't think straight anymore.
Meanwhile Ms.Zintas team seemed pleased with their good luck of winning as they missed the hugging and kissing in their last match agianst Chennai.
IPL is now getting boring with Mr.Dravid about to collect a paycheck of three million dollars before he can be sold off . Its Dr. mallayas turn to cry tears of Blood. Its amazing how Dravid can so ballantly claim he is going to win the next game even after he looses the last game.Guess then he is just going to wait for the next season.
What i wonder is if Dr. Mallaya who has decided on selling his team will even find a buyer. Tough luck Dr Mallaya because i think you are stuck with it.
Who is going to buy a looser until he wants to oblige you and i would rather stay away from you if it means spending that kind of money to buy such a test team just to be in your good books . No thanks .
With his Formula one team loosing on the world racing forum and his cricket team loosing on the indian turf it seems that sports and the liquor Baron dont mix. Mr . Mallaya can only repent for his decisions and with Rahul Dravid keeping mum about the issue , only time can tell what conspires in the meantime ,RCB is on a loosing spree with Rahuls team becoming more confident about winning in the next game.
Somebody needs to tell Mr. Dravid that there are only 14 games to be played and to be in the semis you got to win nine of them. I think ,its time all the players got the IPL information brochures stating the nitty gritties of the game . It seems they think that peope are going to watch them play till all the franchises cover their losses. Already the stadiums are half empty despite the tickets bieng sold at one fourth their costs.
The recent Spat of Dr. Mallaya has also shown the dark underbelly of the dragon where mounting losses in the game and on the financial grounds are making the team owners jittery about their investments . The initial hoopla around the game has died down and people really are not coming back to view the second game between the same two teams . With entry in to the stadium extremely tough and not allowed to carry even binoculars , I wonder how many of us are willing to walk a few Kilo meters and then face the wrath at three checkposts to watch some team play a test match limited to 20 overs.

Another DUD
Another day has ended and another loss for the Royal hicccc ..... Challengers . It was known from the very beginning that who was going to win the match and Dr. Mallaya surely knew it. Once the two wickets were gone for two runs the outcome of the match was decided .If it wasn't for Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli ,the Indian paisa league was bound to see its lowest score today with eight royal challengers getting out with a contribution of only twenty six runs . While five of its batsmen went “quack ,quack ,quack”, sheer lack of coordination between the team showed on the field. Batsmen running without looking where the ball or runner were going . It was sad to see the Royal challengers buckling once again under pressure.
The fatigue due to all the traveling has also started to show on the players .While no team is able to reach the two hundred mark ,number of sixes being hit in each match have also reduced. A good batting pitch is no longer a winning formula for what this league stands for. So the outcome is of coarse struggling batsmen and bowlers bowling wide and no balls, Batsmen getting out while taking runs and poor fielding adding to overall dismal performance . It is no longer that you switch channels and you are going to miss out on some great game.
It is no wonder that players are working overtime .While they are traveling to different destinations on a daily basis ,late night parties after a win or a brainstorming session with the team owner after a lose is taking its toll . In between all this they have to even practice in the scorching sun . Mind you the temperature during the day reach almost 45 degree centigrade and even the early morning are getting hot .
Immediately after the match one of the channels showed Dr. Mallaya in the stadium while the match was on . Boy ,the man surely looked grumpy and it is the first time , I saw him this way . As I have mentioned earlier the man has forgotten how to smile and he made sure to announce his disappointment with the team by not cheering the team at all. While Ms . Kaif stood up and clapped for every four that came after a long haul , trying to do justice to the money given to her as the Brand Ambassador of the RC team ,the redskin cheerleaders sure kept the crowd wanting more . At least some of the RC squad is taking its job seriously. Of course they also fear of loosing their jobs any day now and are working two hundred percent to cheer the man up .
What is wrong with the team RC . It seems every player is playing on his own . In todays match it seemed the batsmen were too keen to get out and hit the bench .It was an effort for them to hit every ball. I think they were more pleased to see their cheerleader dance from the stands and left the job to the next player who would only be too keen to return and pass the buck to the next guy in line . Rahul Dravid of course being the captain of the team was answerable to the team owner and did his part. Virat
Kohli on the other hand needs to get noticed because in the next auction the RC players are going to be dirt cheap with no buyers . With current rankings they are just ahead of Deccan chargers who have been setting the trend for dismal performances by some top class Batsmen.
RC matches are however tending to get predictable and betting junkies can hope not to loose any money by playing on the teams defeat . The odds of their winning may be very high but the chances of winning are pretty less , So only if you want to loose ,bet on RC win seems to be the motto of the Day.
Of course these performances are going to make the Indian paisa league a dud for no one would after some time want to watch a match whose result is predictable from the very first ball of the game.

On the Roll
Mohali is on the roll. After loosing two matches of the Indian Paisa league it seems that the charm of having such an attractive owner is paying off for the team . After the first win the way miss Zinta hugged her team players says it all. Wow , no wonder the guys soon realized that if they wanted to keep getting hugged by Ms. Zinta it was important for them to win.
It is a great moral booster for he team after getting in to a contraversy where six of the team players were thrown out of a five star hotel to accomodate Ms.Zintas friends. It was also right before the team won its first match .
I think the message conveyed here was loud and clear .Win or soon you shall be living in a dharamshala .No wonder the team has pulled up their socks , adjusted their shin gaurds and willing to go and play some good cricket to save their accomodation.
It also sends a clear message to other team owners who are spending money on team promotion like it was going out of fashion. When Kolkata lost its first IPL match against an underdog team champagne flowed at the teams reception and laptops were given to all the team members. At another such event Tag huer Watches were given.
Now i understand Mr.Khan likes to celebrate but the absence of the team captain at such an event made it obvious that there was discontent in the team and what started as a joke about milan of the villians seems to be becoming true.
I think that rather then pampering your team like a spoilt brat ,Mr.khan should pluck a leaf out of Ms. Zintas book and kick a few fat butts that have done nothing to do justice to their million dollar paychecks. Remember Mr.Khan you have worked very hard to earn this money that these loosers are extorting from you.
I am a great admirer of Mr.khan and i still remember how he gave respect to junior catering staff at one of the parties where i was serving. He was a big man then ,he is bigger now and there is no reason for a bunch of loosers who are out of form to really cause pain to this demigod by playing guli cricket on the field.
I wonder if Mr. Khan had looked in the backyards of Bandstand ,he could have got a better team aka kids on Panchvi Paas have inevitably prooven to be better then the hot shots who appear on his show.
Till next time Cheers to all the bookies who are having a field day while the franchises cry " bloody murder"

Conspiracy theories of the game
After Searching the net on the burning issue that is on the mind of every indian, i thought that rather than posting a few lines on different sites ,i should rather start my own blog to condemn something i had ,only a few days ago, waited so eagerly to begin.
The Indian premier league aptly termed as the indian Paisa league has turned out to be a great entertainer ,however the off field antics of players have been much in discussion rather their in field bowling and Batting.
The so called respectable scores are contributed by the Foriegn merceniries that Mr. Modi so wisely decided to add to the league other wise the maximum score on the field on any given day wouldn't have touched a three digit number .
The only digits that are seen here are the seven figure packages of the indian players and the mounting loses that the franchises are acummalating each day.
Insider reports from various news channels dont fail to point out how ticket prices are bieng slashed to bring the public in.
No wonder that stadiums suddenly become full after the first innings when the ticket prices are the least . When Kolkatta knight riders lost their first match after an undefeated run,I wondered what the betting world had to say regarding this strange turn of events. Until a few days ago IPL organisers who were so valiantly defending the 1000 crore Rs a match buissness went quiet suddenly.I am sure most of the betting was done for the sharukh team to win and it would have made a great conspiracy theory about the franchisee owners selling of their team's win for a few hundered crores to compensate for the losses which have gone in to marketing and manufacturing merchandise that is just accumalating dust on shelfs.
Speaking of conspiracy theories ,i would love to mention the Harbhajan Srisanth case.First things first the match was over and what ever bhajji did on the field was purely his buissness. His work time was finished which means he was off duty .So the question of slapping him with a ban and a penalty was out of the question.Secondly sreesanth is no saint and i am sure he had done enough to provoke bhajji who slapped him.
It was seen that Mr.engineer was celebrating with MS Zinta and it could be anybodies guess with whom his loyalties lie .I really cant say why only bhajji was fined. Maybe it was because of Ms. Zintas charm that made Mr. engineer take such a wise decision.
Saurabh Ganguly is another person who has been targeted in this IPL . Till now everybody who talked about Shane Warne taking initiative and bieng a leader are talking about his past rendezvous. A spirit of national integration has swept in favour of Mr. Ganguly who actually saw the catch touch the ground while running for a run .What a spoil Sport. It is strange that a TV replay where i could see that it was a clear catch was given a not out while Mr.warne argued with the empire. The indian empire who was a spineless blob, instead of referring to the second empire went for the third empire. I wonder if the second empire would have agreed with Mr. ganguly's outrage.
No wonder his whole team got out before they could even finish their 20 overs. What a looser Ganguly is .We all know what Mr. Gul said .We perfectly understand what he meant by saying "he is not perfect for one day cricket." One will never see Sachin conducting in such a manner and this makes him a Batsman par comparision.
The money makes the league go around and it seems that the board has made an ideal example of Bhajji who was not only slapped with a 11 match ban but lost in the tune of 3 crores. I think he should get a guiness record for the worlds costliest slap.
It reminded me of the dialogue from the movie karma when Dr. Dang tell the cop that he was going to make the noise of the slap "is thappad ki goonj suni tumne, yeh goonj yaad rakhna".I wondered which of the channels are going to use this exclusive footage and the winner was ofcoarse India TV .A channel obsessed with unmasking Sabu aka Khali .
I think they devote one hour daily in his pilgrimage and even made trip to the states to show us his loo.
Now now ,I am deviating from the topic and the topic is cricket.I wondered if KPS Gill was to become the director of IPL . He would have made sure that justice was done and all the money was duly deposited in his and his aides accounts .I am forgetting the name of that guy .What a looser couldn't make out that it was all a sham to con him.I mean who on the bloody earth would try to organise a hockey tournament on the lines of IPL and pay Whos name i dont remember two lakh rupees .
It is a good thing IOC disbanded the IHF .Now Mr.Gill can go peacefully ,his work on this planet is done.
This brings a question to my mind "Does shooting criminals really kill something inside you that is irrepairable ."
Duh i lost sight of the indain paisa league once again . Yesterday i heard Mr . Mallaya wanting to change his team .He has approached the IPL for the same.I wonder where the josh of the Royal challengers has gone.Maybe the free supply of liqour is taking its toll on the team.It is worth noticing how all the RC players look dazed when they come down to play .It is a heady mix of cheer leader hanging around your arms ,Booze flowing like water .One Miss Kaif cheering for you.
It would be a miracle only if they manage to win two games, both of them because the other team played so badly that they deserved to loose even more.
I wonder how much loss MR. Malaya is going to bear ,the strain of which is already showing on his face after each match. It seems the man has stopped smiling.
ONe thing that the IPL has made me realize is that these franchisees are not Demi gods. They can be beaten at their own game which is buissness. Most of them now associate it with prestige but i think it is just another way of showing a brave face to the mounting looses .
I wonder when this great tammasha ends and the results come in finally we might see Shane warne lifting the cup defeating the chennai super kings. Oh yes SRK ofcourse will say " Garibo,Loot gao Hayo ray"
